What’s Going on in Portland This Week?

Want to get more involved in local politics, connect with nonprofits doing awesome work, take care of your neighbors, and find community outside Reed? Here are a few events going on next week (December 5-11) around the city:

P.S. Want to ride the buses for free? Good news: You can! (probably)

First, apply for an Honored Citizen Fare Hop card through TriMet’s website, which by itself allows you to ride buses for a reduced price every month. If you make less than 30,000 dollars annually, you qualify! If not, check the website to see if you match any of the other qualifications.

Then, bring your Hop card, which can be mailed to campus, to the Reed Cashier’s Window and Reed will cover the remaining cost of owning this card each month. After that, you can send an email to the Reed Business Office once a month to renew your Hop card.
