Submit to the Quest!
ARTICLES
All Reed students are welcome and encouraged to submit articles to the Quest. The best way to begin is by attending one of our weekly contributors’ meetings, pitching an article about anything you’re interested in or choosing from the pitch sheet, and getting connected with an editor for guidance on the reporting and writing process. When you’re ready, share a final draft with any editor as a Google Doc, and we’ll make a copy where you can review edits and ask or respond to questions as needed. Because the Quest exercises discretion to adhere to journalistic ethics and best practices we cannot guarantee all submissions will be published.
Current content editors:
Renata Akeed ‘28 (renatama@reed.edu)
Quinn Hoop ‘27 (qhoop@reed.edu)
Joaquin Pellegrin-Alvarez ‘27 (joaquinp@reed.edu)
Vincent Tanforan ‘27 (tanforanv@reed.edu)
If you have further questions and can’t make it to a meeting, shoot an email to quest@reed.edu.
EVERYTHING ELSE: COMICS, GAMES, CREATIVE SUBMISSIONS, AND MORE
Comics, games, creative submissions, and other content that does not fall under the category of articles can be sent to quest@reed.edu or shared with any of the editors. These submissions do not undergo the same editing process and are also not guaranteed to be published each week, as they may be pushed for publication in a later week.
LETTER TO THE EDITORS
We’ll publish your letter as long as it doesn’t include an ad hominem attack, or derogatory or discriminatory language. Anonymous letters will be published at the editors’ discretion. If you have any questions, please email us at quest@reed.edu. That is also where you can send in your letter!
OVERHEARD AT REED
Did you overhear something in Commons that you think deserves to be shared with the world? Tell us! We publish Overheard every Friday in our print edition! Submissions must be anonymized. (We will not publish any potentially identifying information!)
