Aftertaste
As beauty that lacks narrative,
I’m lost in wordless grace:
One that your gaze holds -and it does-
Faithful lavender haze!
Seducing your flaws to be shown,
displayed: they ought to be-
the lies you wore, take them all off,
and amuse some of me.
Edging the fallout we deserve,
as a delicious oath?
To pleasure what we dare provoke:
a privilege we know.
