CEI Party, Rally, and Hearing
350PDX
Join 350 in celebration with food and drink before heading to a public hearing regarding the extremely dangerous Critical Energy Infrastructure Hub, which holds more than 90% of all liquid fuel in Oregon and sits directly on top of land that will collapse when the Cascadia Subduction Zone Earthquake (“The Big One”) happens. The CEI Hub lies in between the Willamette River and dense neighborhoods, posing extreme risks to both. At the hearing, you will learn about a proposed plan to stop expansion and reduce fuel capacity of the hub and you can testify, if you feel so inclined.

P.S. Want to ride the buses for free? Good news: You can! (probably)
First, apply for an Honored Citizen Fare Hop card through TriMet’s website, which allows you to ride buses for a reduced price every month. If you make less than $30,000 annually, you qualify! If not, check the website to see if you match any of the other qualifications.
Then, bring your Hop card, which can be mailed to campus, to the Reed Cashier’s Window in Eliot and Reed will cover the remaining costof the card each month. After that, you can send an email to the Reed Business Office once a month to renew your Hop card.
